New dates have been posted for 2009 Parkwood Civic meetings at http://www.parkwoodnow.com
The Parkwood Civic Association has been awarded a State Grant with the help of Senator Mike Stack for street banners to beautify our neighborhood. In addition to the 20 that are paid for, we would like to invite you to sponsor a flag with your name or organization on it. Also, some neighborhoods even use the banners to memorialize a loved one.
Our goal is to hang flags on several streets in our neighborhood. All the flags will have the same design, like “Welcome to Parkwood” with a tree design, with the exception of the sponsored ones which will have the addition of your name on the bottom.
You can order a flag with your name on it with a $350 payment to the Parkwood Civic Association by March 1st. Call Lisa at 215-620-9246. We look forward to your participation, and the beauty and sense of community the banners will bring to our neighborhood.
