Here’s a summary of the week’s Northeast news we didn’t cover. See others here.

The 22-year-old daughter in the alleged mother-daughter prostitution operation that advertised on the popular Craigslist Web site and was busted last fall has received a three-year probation sentence, the Daily News reported Wednesday. The woman, Tami Smith, and her now 39-year-old mother were caught soliciting an undercover police officer in a home they rented in Wissinoming, as CBS3 reported in October.

In April, the mother, Traci Young, pleaded guilty, and she will be back in court June 30.

John Loftus of the Northeast Times has a big story on the urban critters, like raccoons,  that inhabit the Northeast, from Frankford to Pennypack Park and elsewhere.

CBS3 reports on an armed bandit who walked into a Mayfair Wachovia Bank at 10:30 a.m. Monday and walked out with a bag full of cash after employing a firearm and a threat. See the alleged robber’s description here.

The Frankford Gazette introduces its readers to a metalworker who works inside the revitalized Globe Dye Works and is fabricating design work for popular Northern Liberties lounge Silk City.

The Inquirer reports on the continued fight between Delaware County and Philadelphia International Airport. Some want heavy air traffic to be diverted to smaller regional airports, including our own Northeast Airport. What do you think about that?

KYW reports that the bicycle Mayor Michael Nutter rode during annual “bike to work day” was made by Fuji, which moved its headquarters near the Northeast Airport in 2005. Glad we could help a green friendly attitude.

The Daily News reports on the glass ceiling that still affects women in politics, an underrepresented number even in Philly. Exceptions exist, of course, like U.S. Congresswoman Alysson Schwartz, a portion of whose district slices the Northeast. Is she your legislator?

What was your favorite story of the week? What do you think about these other stories? Have you seen the raccoons that the Northeast Times reported on? Would you be OK with more air traffic coming to our airport?

Every Friday morning, we make sure you didn’t miss any Northeast Philadelphia news with NEast Links.
