A 71-year-old man was struck and killed by a car Sunday night at Rhawn Street and Bustleton Avenue in Rhawnhurst.

Vincent Parisano was hit as he stepped off the median while crossing the street around 11:45 p.m. He was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident. The 33-year-old male driver, who has not been identified, stayed at the scene.

Parisano died of severe head and chest trauma at Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus. The accident is still under investigation, but it is likely no charges will be filed.
