Saniyya Ferguson and Dominique Winn arrived home to their new apartment on Saturday to find what they say are hurtful acts of vandalism, and some strange things missing.

The couple, who recently moved into an apartment on the 1100-block of Hellerman Street, came home to find their new TVs gone, and their new furniture covered in Swastikas, KKK marks and other racial slurs. Moreover, several items had been stolen, including all of Winn’s clothes, lotion, bedding and food from the freezer.

The couple told Action News they are devastated by the acts, and didn’t think something like this could happen in their new neighborhood. They put all their time and money into furnishing their new home, and can’t afford to do so again, since they are both currently unemployed.

This is the reason we need to build a huge prison in Philadelphia. Economic stimulus money wasted on temporary job creation should have been spent creating permanent jobs in corrections. A prison also creates food service, medical, counseling, and a bevy of other jobs. But hey those energy efficient street lights will save the city; laughable. Put people in jail forever so good hearted people can really live a free life in this country.
