While we’ve been updating you on school and city closings,  our 7,000+ Facebook fans have been busy taking photos and sharing their snow stories.

We asked our fans how they’re spending their snow days, where they like to sledding and whether their streets have been plowed. Here’s just some of the activity happening over on FB:

Miriam Sippel Clegg (Bustleton): I have had 3 plows not only once but twice today!, Feb. 10

Renee Perry Juliania: not one on my street in tacony, but then again we never get plowed. Feb. 10

Kelly Ann Flynn Cochran: My dad told me that a plow came down Kipling Lane yesterday for the first time in 20 years! Woo Hoo! Don’t hold your breath waiting for it to come back any time soon! LOL!! Feb. 10

Diane Hural Buchinsky: Wires down in Somerton due to tree branches breaking and snow on the wires. Power off and on. Waited very long for PECO and no sign of police and fire like I was told would be here. Stay safe everyone! Feb. 10

Dale Brayer McManus: Saw 2 lightening bolt then the lights flicked…we’re near Jeanes Hosp. but the Montgomery county side of Cottmon Ave. Feb. 10
The consensus about how to best spend the snow day: Suicide Hill at Byrne Golf Club in Torresdale. For some reader photos, check out our slideshow.

I have lived in North Dakota fo 27 years now during and after retirement from the Air Force. Right now in Northwood ND, we have about 40 inches on the ground it is alot differant then the snow I grew up with in NEPhilly. Here it is very dry. I remember the snow back home being called “HEART ATTACK SNOW”. This is the only thing I do not miss about Philly.
By the way the snow we get here does not come and go. The snow we get in October will still be in the piles in April when we might have a compleat thaw.
Take it easy Philly. Snow is not worth getting sick or dead over. Please remember Robert Adams, NEPhila. Native, who passed on Wed. 10Feb.10
