Historical Society of Frankford celebrates ‘colorful’ history 0

The Historical Society of Frankford housed a presentation of the history of the Globe Dye Company on Tuesday. The event, hosted by Torben Jenk, founder of Workshop of the World, was titled “Local Color” – Five Generations of GLOBE DYE COMPANY (1965-2005).
After an introduction about the founding generations of the Greenwood and Bault families, Jenk presented a slideshow of information about the history of Globe Dye and its monthly publication, “Local Color,” which, through various visuals, was a record of the social traditions of Frankford.

Hi Jackie, I’d like to talk with you about your days working at Globe Dye Works. We are doing a sculpture project there and are interested in workers’ stories. Please email me if you get this, I know your post is very old. Thanks, Joan
