Two arrested in Best Buy robbery 1

Nov29

Two men were arrested Saturday after they robbed the Best Buy on Roosevelt Boulevard near Red Lion Road.

The men were waiting for store employees to open the doors just before 7 a.m. Saturday when they forced the employees inside at gunpoint. One employee was bound with plastic handcuffs while the manager was forced to open the safe. The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and some merchandise.

Both men have been arrested. Shawn Knight, 22, of Rhawnhurst, was arrested within minutes at Hardy and Dungan roads in Bustleton. Mileek Danao, 20, of Northwest Philadelphia, was arrested an hour later at Conwell Avenue and Wistaria Street in Bustleton.

The Daily News reports both men have been charged with robbery, but none of the merchandise they stole has been recovered.
