First degree murder in Tacony shootings 3

Dec21

Two Tacony men have been found guilty of first degree murder in the 2007 killings of a man and a teenager.

A jury found Gerald Drummond, 26, and Robert McDowell, 28, guilty of murdering 27-year-old Damien Holloway and 15-year-old Timothy Clark — the result of racial tension between Drummond (white) and Holloway (black).

According to testimony, Drummond shot Clark in the back of the head and Holloway in the face on the 6900-block of Vandike Street on July 13, 2007 as the two black men knelt on the ground. Drummond and McDowell were found out not by evidence or DNA traces, but by friends, to whom they’d bragged about the killings.

Both men face the death penalty.

Both people killed were not black- this had nothing to do with race.

I hope that they get the death penalty. It’s what they deserve. Although a death penalty sentence in PA is the same as a life sentence with no parole. They should be dealt with the same way they killed 2 innocent people.
