Two men have been arrested and eight dogs were seized early this evening during a raid on a dogfighting ring in Lawncrest. Police were tipped off to the home after arresting more than a dozen people last Sunday during a dogfight in a South Philadelphia home.

Along with the dogs, fighting equipment and records were seized from the home on the 400-block of East Cheltenham Avenue. About 25 people were watching a fight when the authorities entered the South Philadelphia home. Fourteen were arrested.
