It’s a shame city doesn’t co-operate with Tacony like this! We’ve heard that Fire Commissioner Ayers won’t allow a bust of Joe “Goople’ McCloskey within 100 yards of a new Engine 38 (which is 3 years out of service!) Is this because he was a cop? If a community cntr is attached to a firehouse he should have NO SAY in the matter. He’s a disgrace & should resign! Mayor found a half million for a bust of a black civil rights advocate from 150 years ago when city’s broke but we can’t put a privately purchased bust near the ground where officer McCloskey helped hundreds of kids? There’s enough shame to go around!
