Vice President Biden: nation’s firefighters are ‘special’ [photos] 3

Vice President Joe Biden was in Philadelphia Wednesday to address the national firefighters union on behalf of the Obama administration.

“You folks are special,” he said to the firefighting crowd. “You really are; you’re just special. I think I know you guys.We should be cutting your taxes and helping cities and states maintain their fire service.”

“I don’t think he understands what you’re about,” he said of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

But Biden didn’t address Philadelphia firefighters’ ongoing dispute with the Nutter administration. Thursday, firefighters from across the country joined members of Local 22 to call on Mayor Michael Nutter to sign off on the arbitration agreement for Philadelphia firefighters.

Biden’s a blow-hard plagaristic clown. If he was a MAN he’d have gone to bat for firemen AGAINST Democratic mayor Nutso. Amazingly he says Romney doesn’t get it and then ignores problems of men in this city where he’s speaking! He’s a joke, And Nutter’s a COWARD!

Am I missing something here? If Vice President Biden “knows” firefighters and believes that they are “special”, as well as suggesting that their taxes be cut, then why isn’t he using his or his administration’s influence to address the dispute between our local firefighters and the Nutter administration? Since firefighters from across the nation have rallied to our Local 22′s cause, it would have been gratifying to have the V.P. lend a supportive vocal role here instead of just “talking the talk” and playing politics by criticizing Mitt Romney.
