Rep. Brendan Boyle, D-170th, announced last week his office will hold two family movie nights in August.

The first is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 13 at Gifford Playground in Somerton [map]. Families are invited to bring their blankets, chairs and picnic supplies for the screening of “Puss in Boots” at 8p.m.

Two weeks later, on Aug. 28, families can watch “Kung Fu Panda 2″ at Fitzpatrick Playground in Parkwood [map].

Both events will be held in partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation.
