A: There are 247 active listings for single homes spread out throughout the Northeast. These listings range from 2-bedroom homes to 6-bedroom homes. Of these homes, 62 are listed under $200,000.

The range of single homes you can find in the Northeast is very broad; the highest currently for sale is in the $600,000 and the lowest less than $100,000. Although, there is no shortage of high-priced listings in all of the Northeast’s zip codes, within the currently listed 62, you’ll find many of the lowest priced single homes in the 19111 and 19135 zip codes.

Out of the 59 single homes that are pending, the lowest priced is in Academy Gardens and the highest are in Pine Valley and Somerton . Out of the 16 recently sold Northeast singles in the last 4 months, the lowest sold was in Wissinoming and highest sold was in Pine Valley. Most of the homes sold in the higher range were new construction.

If you are looking for a good deal, you will find many distressed properties – short sales and bank sales – around all of the Northeast. You just have to keep an eye out for them.
