Two determined burglars are sought for the May 5 break-in at Delaire Pharmacy in Torresdale [map].
Surveillance cameras witnessed the men’s attempt to break into the pharmacy’s back door, and their successful attempt to ge through the front door around 10:30 p.m. Once inside, one suspect disabled the alarm and took pills, while the other remained in the car. The two fled when they heard via a police scanner that officers were on the way. continue reading »

Police in the 8th District are looking for the thief who broke into a vehicle in Bucks County and went shopping at Franklin Mills Mall.
Last week, a report was filed from someone whose car was broken into while at a Middletown Township cemetery. Shortly after that, the person’s credit cards were used at several places inside Franklin Mills Mall, according to police. The suspect was later seen on surveillance cameras inside a Bucks County Wawa. continue reading »

Police have arrested the man they believe robbed the 7-Eleven at 9901 Frankford Ave. near Knights Road earlier this month.
Brian Boedecker was arrested Nov. 15 after Northeast Detectives received information that the 33-year-old Pennpack Woods resident was in the area. continue reading »

Philadelphia Police and the FBI are looking for the man who robbed a Citizens Bank branch Wednesday just one block from the 8th District headquarters.
The suspect used a handgun to demand cash from a teller at the branch on the 3200-block of Red Lion Road. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Anyone with information about the 30-year-old white male is asked to submit at tip online, call 215-686-TIPS (8477) or text 773847.

Northeast Philadelphia's 8th Police District
Capt. Leonard Ditchkofsky has two goals for the 8th Police District – help people feel safe and bring property values back up.
The plans were met with a round of applause from Holme Circle Civic Association members Wednesday night. Ditchkofsky, the new captain, stopped by the meeting following a district PSA 1 meeting.

The 8th Police District Advisory Council hosted their annual 8th District Police Appreciation Holiday Dinner Saturday, Dec. 3, at the district for three shifts of officers between 10 a.m. that day and 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning
The officers enjoyed additional entrees this year, due to the generosity of area caterers. Also, as an added touch, the officers were presented with poinsettias courtesy of Lowes for them or their significant others. PDAC member Steve Faunce of Thunderbird Bowling Lanes on Holme Avenue also donated three Family Bowling Packages, which were raffled to an officer representing each of the three shifts. continue reading »
