Mark Kelly, 38, of the 5900-block of B Street and William Gray, 38, of the 3200-block of Mercer Street were arrested Friday on the 4100-block of Carteret Street, and have been charged with robbery, theft, aggravated assault, simple assault, kidnapping, impersonating a police officer, burglary and criminal conspiracy. continue reading »

Police are investigating a beating that took place inside the victim’s Tacony home early Friday morning. Two suspects entered her apartment on the 4300-block of Princeton Avenue around midnight, according to reports, and proceeded to beat her. continue reading »

An off-duty officer was assaulted early yesterday morning in Pat’s Cafe while reportedly trying to break up a fight.
Police caught up with the suspects, who, as CBS reports, got into a fight in the Northwood bar that the officer tried to break up. Though further details haven’t been release, police say the suspects assaulted the officer before fleeing the bar around 1:30 a.m.
It’s unclear whether they’ll be charged.

A 13-year-old girl was assaulted Saturday in the Target store in Bustleton.
The girl was reportedly shopping with her mother when a man approached her and indecently assaulted the girl.
Details of the assault have not been released, but police are looking for a white male in his late 30s to early 40s. At the time of assault, he was wearing a dark t-shirt and light-colored shorts. He was seen leaving in a mid-size tan SUV.

Mark Wallace’s family has been on the hunt for his attacker since he was assaulted more than a week ago.
Wallace was beaten April 8 as he walked near Knights and Fairdale roads around 7:30 p.m. He was transferred to Jefferson Hospital five days later, and has been in a coma since then, even after a blood transfusion.
Wallace’s sister, Nancy Kolenkiewicz told NBC the family doesn’t expect Wallace will survive, given all the swelling in his brain. Kolenkiewicz wants answers from the police, who’ve yet to make an arrest. continue reading »

A 12-year-old awoke last night to find a man standing over her in her bedroom. The girl, who shares a room with her younger sister on the 1100-block of Kerper Street, screamed, waking up their mother.
According to reports, the male suspect punched the girl repeatedly before fleeing. Police believe the man lifted a screen to gain entrance to the house. continue reading »

UPDATED (March 2, 5:50 p.m.) — Police have released a sketch of the man (at right) whom they believe assaulted the girl.
Police are searching for the man responsible for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in her Castor Gardens home early Monday morning.
According to reports, the girl awoke around 2:30 a.m. yesterday to find a man indecently assaulting her in her home on the 1400-block of Levick Street. The girl’s screams startled her 74-year-old babysitter, Julie Etienne, who came to the rescue.
The babysitter bit the attacker’s fingers until he fled. Police believe the attacker gained entrance through an unlocked door. continue reading »

A Frankford High School student faces expulsion after assaulting a school district officer Thursday.
The student, 17, punched an officer in the face after running from two of them as they tried to apprehend the student for truancy. No medical treatment was necessary, but the officers took the student to Aria Health-Frankford to be evaluated for lip lacerations and a bloody nose.

Police are on the hunt for a man wanted in connection with an assault in Holme Circle.
A woman was walking on the 2700-block of Holme Avenue near Pennypack Park shortly before 7:30 this morning when a man grabbed her from behind. The woman, 28, struggled with her assailant, who ran from the scene. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
Officers combed the area, but have not found the suspect yet. He is described as 6’2″ and heavy was wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and white sneakers. His race is unknown. For tips, call Special Victims at 215-685-3251.
