The Philadelphia School District’s first “probable case” of swine flu was found yesterday in a student attending Forrest Elementary School at Cottage Street and Bleigh Avenue in Mayfair.

It is believed the student became ill after contact with a relative who had recently been on a trip. School officials said they dont think there is reason to worry about other students becoming infected, and sent a letter home to parents assuring them not to worry.

This brings the total number of Philadelphia’s probable cases of swine flu to five. The other four cases have all recovered, and the student who is believed to be infected is currently under observation. All five cases are being tested by the CDC.
