The PSPCA Thursday confirmed to NEast Philly a case of animal hoarding reported earlier this week in Frankford.

Holy Family University is set to host an art exhibit, which will display the works of two Philadelphia-based psychotherapists. Reflections on Projections, Art and Love: Two Art Psychotherapists Art will feature original works of various mediums. The exhibit will run from Jan. 13 to Feb. 1 with an opening reception and discussion at 6 p.m. Jan. 19. The works will be on diplay in the John Perzel EducationTechnology Center.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances around a shooting on the 900-block of Granite Street early yesterday morning.
According to reports, the suspect, who was involved in a domestic dispute, threw something at an officer, who then fired his gun. The suspect was shot in the leg and transported to Einstein Medical for treatment.

The 25-year-old man who died in a Frankford shooting last month is believed to be the agressor. Police initially thought Dallas Custalow was an innocent bystander when he was shot in the stomach inside the Irish Kitchen bar at Pratt and Oakland streets. But it is now believed Custalow, of the 1300-block of Anchor Street, pulled his gun first during an argument at the bar, hitting a 29-year-old man in the leg.
