Mayfair Civic Association meetings have been moved to the third Monday of every other month. The March meeting drew more than 100 people, and the association discussed a dog park, the Shamrock Shuttle and several zoning issues [Mayfair Civic Association].

City Howl took a ride with Andrea Werbock, who has the same complaint we hear from many people who ride SEPTA’s Trenton Line: the train doesn’t line up with the stations’ step-up platforms, forcing riders to jump on and off the train. The complaint is a common one at Tacony, Holmesburg and Torresdale stations [City Howl].

Police are still looking for the suspects involved in a violent home invasion Sunday on the 1400-block of McKinley Street. Northeast Detectives is asking the public to view surveillance footage and contact authorities with tips and information on the suspects’ whereabouts [Philadelphia Police].

A 15-month-old child is recovering after falling from an apartment complex window Thursday. The toddler fell from a third-floor window on the 2300- block of Tremont Street and landed in a flower bed, ultimately being taken to Aria Health-Torresdale in good condition [Action News].

A police officers sustained minor injuries Monday night when he became pinned between two cars during an accident on the 1700-block of Cottman Avenue. The officer was treated at Jeanes Hospital and authorities are investigating the incident [Philly.com].

Two other officers were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning when their van flipped during a crash with another vehicle around 8:30 in Wissinoming. It’s not clear what caused the crash, which also sent two civilians to the hospital [CBS3].

A Mayfair Town Watch member had his tires slashed this morning on the 4000-block of Aldine Street. This latest incident is one in a string that’d damaged more than 30 cars [CBS3].

More tires have been slashed, but this time in Tacony. Residents of the 7100-block of Erdrick Street awoke Sunday to find their cars vandalized [Action News].

Police are investigating a Sunday evening home invasion on the 1400-block of McKinley Street. Six men forced their way into a couple’s home and then stole $30,000 and a gun [CBS3].

A Burholme native is now helping a fifth person through her Sink or Swim Philadelphia project. Marion Leary, a nurse, started the project to raise money to help with ease the burden of some her most critically ill patients’ medical bills [Technically Philly].

Three people were injured Wednesday morning in a Morrell Park fire. It took firefighters 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze on the 3200-block of Cromwell Road, and three residents – including a toddler – were taken to Aria Health-Torresdale for smoke inhalation [CBS3].

A $7,500 reward has been offered for the suspects wanted in the recent Mayfair tire slashings. The Fraternal Order of Police has offered $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and $2,500 for and arrest and conviction [Philadelphia Police Department].

The Mayfair car vandals struck again over night, this time letting the air out of tires on the 4000-blocks on Aldine and Teesedale streets. This time, a neighbor got a glimpse of the suspects [Fox29].

No injuries were reported Monday afternoon when a driver’s truck hit a pole and knocked down wires in Wissinoming. It’s not clear how the accident occurred [Action News].

A man was shot early Wednesday morning in Holmesburg, sending him to Aria Health-Torresdale in unknown condition. The shooting happened on the 8000-block of Ditman Street across the street from the Holmesburg Rec Center [CBS3].

Around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, a teenager in Castor Gardens told authorities she’d been sexually assaulted by two males. Police are still investigating the incident that happened on the 1400-block of Fanshawe Street to determine the accuracy of the report [CBS3].

Shortly after, around 4 p.m., a motorcyclist was transported to the hospital following a crash with another vehicle at Levick and Everett streets in Castor Gardens [6ABC].
