It’s the day after Thanksgiving, which means it’s time for a NEast Philly tradition: our 12 Days of NEastmas holiday song.
This song, which first ran on Nov. 27, 2009, after we felt the Northeast really needed its own carol, has become a tradition.
You can click below for an instrumental version of the song, with our original NEast-y lyrics. continue reading »

We’re continuing to review the results of a survey we asked you to take awhile back, which included questions about how you get your news and what you think of NEast Philly.
In response to the survey, we’re addressing issues one at a time to help make your Northeast Philadelphia news experience the most efficient it can be. Now that you know how to contact us and submit things, let’s talk about how you read NEast Philly.
We’ve got a couple hundred subscribers who, rather than come directly to the site multiple times a day, get their NEast Philly news through feeds, or via e-mail. You can do that, too! continue reading »

Awhile back, we asked you to take a survey. People all over the nation took this survey about their local news outlets, then the Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri complied the results and sent them to the respective news outlets.
We’ve been reading your (confidential) answers, and now it’s our turn to incorporate your feedback into making NEast Philly more effective, and better in general.
We’ll tackle issues one by one, but we’ll start with our accessibility. Wanna reach us or submit content? Here’s how: continue reading »
