This gorgeous girl is Shaunie (A15052829). Shaunie is a 1- to 2-year-old female Staffordshire Terrier mix. She found her way to someone’s back yard and they brought her to the shelter to find her forever home.

How anyone could let this angel go is beyond us! We don’t know much about her past, but we do know that she is worthy of a good home.

Shaunie walks well on the leash and would love a family who takes her for regular walks. She loves being by your side and would love to snuggle with you each night! Shaunie is very appropriate and doesn’t climb all over you. She has manners and is very respectful. continue reading »

UPDATE, Feb. 9, 2012: Jonah has been adopted!

Meet sweet Jonah (A15063422), a young male tabby abandoned at Animal Control.

When Jonah arrived he was emaciated, dehydrated and sick with a kitty cold. On his first day, all he wanted was to eat and sleep. He’s not used to the barking dogs and cages, so he’s been scared and hisses in defense. The hissing, though, is a front. continue reading »

UPDATE, Feb. 1 — Grady has been adopted.

Meet Grady (A15094459)! This lovely 1- to 2-year-old gray boy has the neatest subtle tabby shading and the most alluring amber eyes!

Poor Grady ended up here at the shelter because his paw was injured and his owners were unable to take him to a private vet. Grady’s wounds were cleaned up and he’s sporting quite the bandage. Unfortunately, Grady’s passed over because of his injured leg. continue reading »

Fido (A13359055) is a gorgeous cat! He has a long haired buff- and white-colored coat that is super fluffy.  He was found as a stray, but must have been someone’s cat because he is wearing a flea collar. Fido is incredibly sweet and rolls over once he gets some scratches. He is also quite a purr machine! continue reading »
