Celebrities, superheroes and comic lovers alike came together last weekend for Comic Con 2010 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
The traveling comic convention came to town June 11, 12 and 13, where some of the biggest regional and national names in the comic scene were on hand to meet fans. Where else can you get you get an up-close-and-person view of the DeLorean and meet some of the Star Trek actors?

Frankford and Neumann-Goretti were just two of several schools in both the Public and Catholic Leagues which faced off earlier this week as part of the 25th Annual Carpenter Cup Classic held in South Philadelphia’s FDR Park. The Catholic League won and advances.

As NEast Philly reported yesterday, the five-alarm blaze took two hours for firefighters to control, and displaces several residents to a Red Cross temporary shelter at Northeast High School.
