NEastPhilly.com launched in 2008 with a simple mission: become the go-to news source for the 400,000 Philadelphians who live in Northeast Philadelphia — a large, diverse, still print-leaning community that was underserved by traditional media.

What began as a small blog grew into a robust daily news site with original reporting, weekly columns, neighborhood coverage and a loyal readership that included residents, journalists across the city and local elected officials.

Our Mission

NEast Philly aims to be the web portal for content creation, aggregation and dissemination of news, views, information and events happening in Northeast Philadelphia. We aggregate news from across the web, build on it with perspective and original reporting, and create a one-of-a-kind audience based around a geographic community.
